Tour DetailsDay 01: Arrival at Cochin - MunnarAfter you arrive at Cochin International Airport, our representative will receive you and escort you to Munnar, which is at around 3½ hours distance. Munnar is a beautiful hill station in God's Own Country, Kerala. This charming hill station is known for its natural beauty which boasts of tea plantations, green forests, winding lanes and trekking tracks. Our agent will assist you in the hotel check-in. Freshen up and have snacks. Thereafter, you'll be taken for an exclusive tour to Pothamedu, sited at about 6 km from Munnar. Pothamedu is known for offering outstanding and spellbinding views of tea, coffee and cardamom plantations. After the short sightseeing trip, you'll return to the hotel for a sumptuous dinner and relaxing sleep in the aesthetically adorned special honeymoon suite.  © Himanisdas @ flickr Day 02: MunnarThis morning, after having a relishing breakfast at the hotel, you'll head towards Mattupetty. Mattupetty is a renowned hill town located around 13 km away from Munnar. It is a delight for nature lovers and offers many pictorial views. Besides the lush green tea plantations and rolling grasslands, the Shola forests in and around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and are a habitat to a variety of birds. It is also known for its highly specialized dairy farm, an Indo-Swiss live stock project. Along with the dairy farm, you'll also visit the Mattupetty Lake and Dam, an exquisite place for picnics. After resting for a while, you'll proceed to Echo Point, known for the natural echo phenomenon, followed by a trip to the Top Station that offers mesmerizing scenic views of the Munnar valley. End the day with a drive back to the hotel for night's rest.  © Mohan Noone @ flickr Day 03: Alleppey (Houseboat)Start the day with a lavish breakfast, followed by a drive to Alleppey to board the traditional houseboat. After boarding the exclusive houseboat, you'll sail through the enchanting waters of the Vembanad Lake, longest lake in India and the largest freshwater lake in the state of Kerala, to enjoy the stunning scenic surroundings. By cruising through the serene backwaters, you'll get to explore the charismatic beauty of the rural Kerala and a chance to savor the exotic Kerala cuisine onboard. After an hour's journey, you'll reach Kumarakom, a quaint and stunning settlement on the banks of a lagoon formed by the Vembanad Lake. You'll check in at the resort and spend the rest of the time at leisure with sunset cruise in the evening. In the night, enjoy the dinner at the resort and call it a day with a restful sleep.  © Patty @ flickr Day 05: Kumarakom - Cochin DepartureOn the last day of your Kerala honeymoon tour, you'll be taken to the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a beautiful sanctuary spread over 14 acres on the southern bank of the Kavanar River. This bird sanctuary is home for various local birds and is favorite haunt of migratory birds. While spending quality time with exotic birds and your beloved, make the most of your honeymoon trip.
