Tour Details

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi

Upon your arrival at the international airport, our tour assistant will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Make a check in and relax for the rest of the day. Night stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

Following a delicious breakfast, a full day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi will be done. Popular attractions of Old Delhi include Rajghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk. In New Delhi, you'll see Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, Rajpath, India Gate, Parliament House, President's Residence, and Lotus Temple. Your day's tour will end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra

After a relishing breakfast, you'll journey to Agra, with a short break at Sikandra on the way to visit Akbar's Tomb. Once you reach Agra, check in at the hotel and proceed for a half-day tour. Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah are the major tourist spots. Return to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 04: Agra - Jaipur

Take an early morning breakfast to embark a 5-hour trip to Jaipur, en-route Fatehpur Sikri. Check in at the hotel once you arrive. Rest for some time and move out for a city tour. Hawa Mahal, Royal Observatory, and City Palace are some popular places to see. Also, visit the colorful markets that sell traditional goods and handicrafts. Thereafter, you'll be dropped at the hotel for night's rest.

Day 05: Jaipur

Have a traditional Rajasthani breakfast at the hotel. Soon after, an excursion to Amber Fort will be made. Ascend the hill fortress on an elephant back in a Maharaja style. Return to the hotel by afternoon. The remaining day will be at your disposal. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaipur - Delhi - Colombo

A flavorful morning meal will be followed by a drive to Delhi. Upon arriving at Delhi after a five-hour journey, you'll be transferred to Delhi international airport to catch flight for Colombo. Arrive and transfer to hotel for overngiht stay.

Day 07: Colombo

Breakfast at hotel. Do a city tour of Colombo. Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained with several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) - an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China & the old parliament. Day 08: Colombo - Kitulgala - Nuwara Eliya

Kitulgala
After breakfast at the Hotel. The Kelani River (the broadest river in Sri Lanka) flowing through Kitulgala was the main location where the Oscar winning Movie Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. On the hill above this town, a prehistoric cave was recently discovered containing large middens of shells from some unknown civilization.

Afternoon - Visit Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lankas most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lankas tea country producing a significant share of the world s best tea. Sri Lanka s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.

Day 09: Nuwara Eliya to Kandy

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy. Enroute - Visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Here you could observe all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Afternoon - Do a city tour of Kandy.
Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter witness a cultural show.

Day 10: Kandy - Pinnawala - Colombo

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to colombo via the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism, but is soon became a conservation and educational centre. With the help of local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala started a scientific captive-breeding programme for elephants. The free movement of the herd enhanced the chances for respective individuals of both sexes to get together and mate. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard, and in 1984, the first baby of Pinnawala was born.

The success story of Pinnawala has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. A considerable number of books and research articles on Pinnawala have been published in several languages. The members of the Pinnawala herd have been filmed, videoed and photographed thousands of times by professionals.

Late afternoon - do a shopping tour of Colombo including visits to House of Fashioons, ODEL, Noritake ceramic shop & a local souvenir shop. Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 11: Colombo Departure

Post morning meal, you'll be escorted to the airport to board a flight for onward destination.
