Tour Details

Day 01: Arrival Delhi

After landing at Delhi Airport you shall be welcomed by our representative and then comfortably transferred to a hotel in Delhi, later after a brief rest and refreshment, Delhi city tour will commence. The cultural and political capital of India, Delhi has numerous priceless historic and architectural gems that you will see during this tour. Qutub Minar, Humayun tomb, Birla temple, Red Fort, India Gate along with the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk are some of the highlights. At the end of the tour you shall be taken back to you Delhi hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi - Dibrugarh

After a hearty breakfast at hotel, you shall be transferred to the Delhi airport, from where you will board a flight for Dibrugarh. Upon arrival at destination, you will be received by our staff and taken to your hotel in Dibrugarh. Here you will check in and stay the night.

Day 03: - Dibrugarh - Sibasagar - Jorhat

The day will start early with a scrumptious breakfast and then, you will set off for Jorhat; it’s the tea capital of Assam. To reach there, you will be covering a distance about 140 km, which will take approximately 5 hour. However, a stopover will be made at Sibsagar. This historical town is a silent yet magnificent remnant of Ahom Dynesty, which ruled, whole of Assam from here, for about 500 years. Ruins of many architectural gems of the era still exist in this region. Once you reach Jorhat, you shall check into the Thengal Manor or Bura Sahib Bunglow. After a short rest the sightseeing tour of Jorhat will commence. Once a flourishing town, it was completely destroyed in 1817, by the Burmese invasions. Life returned to it in 1824, with arrival of British tea planters. Today, there are about 135 tea gardens in and around this beautiful town. You will be taken across these lush tea gardens and will be able to enjoy the natural vistas and fragrance in the air, surrounded by charming climate of the region. Overnight stay will be at Jorhat.

Day 04: Jorhat - Majuli

After a light breakfast, you shall be transported to the jetty from, where you will board the local ferry that plies the river Brahmaputra to reach Majuli Island. This is a wonderful opportunity to soak in the sights and sounds of the mighty river and see the flora, fauna and human civilization that have developed along its banks. The boat trip will take you around 2 hours, on arrival at Majuli, you will check into a traditionally built bamboo hut. After a brief rest, the island tour shall begin, in which you will get a chance to explore roots of Assamese culture by visiting the enchanting Vaishnavite monasteries. Majuli has been the hub of Assamese neo-vaishnavite culture, which was set up almost 500 years, ago by Saint Srimanta Sankardeva and his disciple Madhavdeva. Today the island houses around 22 monasteries and is inhabited by various tribes. The most dominant among them is Mishing. After the tour you shall return to the Bamboo hut for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Majuli - Kaziranga

The day will begin early with mouthwatering traditional Assamese breakfast, after which you shall kick off the journey towards Kaziranga National Park. This journey is quite adventurous, as you would be covering a distance of about 110 km, via 2 hours of drive and another 2 hours will be taken by the boat to ferry you across magnificent Brahmaputra River. Once at Kaziranga, you shall check in at a jungle resort on the outskirts of the National Park, where you will spend the night. Kaziranga National Park is a natures treasure trove and is home to numerous endangered wildlife species, such as Indian Elephant (Elephant Maximus), Tiger(Panthera tigris), Hoolock Gibbon (Bunipithecus hoolock), Ganges dolphin (Platanista gangetica),Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Barasingha or Swamp Deer (duvauceli), Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) and Gaur (Bos frontalis)etc. However its star attraction remains the Great One Horn Rhinoceros. The park also supports colorful avian fauna, which includes 500 bird species.

Day 06: Kaziranga

The day will start quite early with a light breakfast, and then you will be taken for the experience of a lifetime, in form of an Elephant safari. Perched comfortably on backs of these gentle giants, you will be able to explore the interiors of the park and have a chance to spot some of the exquisite wildlife that inhabits this region. Being the home of 70% of the world’s one horned rhino population, it is most like that you will be able to see these stunning animals at close proximity, living in their natural habitat. This Park is a paradise for those who love to click photographs as in every frame one can capture something extraordinary. After the day long exertion, you shall be transferred back to the Kaziranga resort, for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Kaziranga - Guwahati

Once you have had a leisurely breakfast at the resort, you shall be driven to Guwahati, beautiful capital city of Assam. To reach there, you will be covering a distance of about 217 km, in approximately 5 hours. On arrival and check in at the hotel, the sightseeing tour of Guwahati, will commence with the visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple. It is considered one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites. The shikhara of the temple has an intricate beehive like design that fascinates one and all. Sri Purva Tirupati Balaji Temple is another stunning milky white edifice dedicated to gods that you will visit. Later, on way to Assam State Zoo, a brief stopover will be made at the Deepor Beel. It’s a picturesque wetland, where you will be able to spot numerous rare species of birds, both local and migratory. Then spend sometime exploring the Assam State Zoo that has many majestic residents, such as Asiatic lions and the Royal Bengal Tigers. Then return to the Guwahati hotel for overnight stay.

Day 08: Guwahati

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, an excursion tour to Hajo will commence, it is an ancient place with immense historical significance, where one can see the harmonious existence of three distinct religions, namely Hindu, Muslim and Buddhism. One of the most important sites of Hajo is Hayagriva-Madhab Temple and another is the mosque known as the Pao Mecca. The later was built by Pir Ghiasuddin Aulia and is world renowned Muslim pilgrimage center. Thereafter, you shall directly be transferred to the airport to continue, your onward journey.
