Tour Details

Day 01: Arrive Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park

On arrival at Guwahati airport you will be welcomed by our representative, who will drive you directly to Kaziranga National Park. The distance between the two locations is around 215 km, which will take around 5 hours to cover. Kaziranga National Park is natures treasure trove and is home to numerous endangered wildlife species, such as Indian Elephant (Elephant Maximus), Tiger(Panthera tigris), Hoolock Gibbon (Bunipithecus hoolock), Ganges dolphin (Platanista gangetica),Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Barasingha or Swamp Deer (duvauceli), Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) and Gaur (Bos frontalis)etc. However its star attraction remains the Great One Horn Rhinoceros. The park also supports colorful avian fauna, which includes 500 bird species. On arrival at Kaziranga you will check into the Jungle Resort, where, you will be spending the night.

Day 02: Kaziranga National Park

The day will start early with the elephant safari, which will let you explore the central (Kohora) range of Kaziranga. Here you will be able to spot many wildlife species in their natural habitat. Later, on return to the resort you will be served breakfast. In afternoon you will visit the Natundenga Karbi village adjoining Kaziranga National Park, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the ethnic cuisine, served by the locals as your afternoon meal. You can also have one on one interaction with Karbi people. In the later part of the afternoon, you will be taken on the exclusive Jeep safari in the western (Bagori) range of Kaziranga. You will spend the night at the resort in Kaziranga.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park - Tinsukia

After a light breakfast at the resort, 6 hours long journey to Tinsukia will commence. To reach Tinsukia, you will be covering a distance of around 300 km. Once there you will check into the hotel and after a brief rest, visit a couple of interesting places in the, like Shiv Dham and Marut Nandan Kanan Park. This quite and scenic town is a favorite stopover for visitors visiting Dibru Saikhowa National Park. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Tinsukia.

Day 04: Tinsukia - Dibru Saikhowa National Park - Dibrugarh

The day will begin with early morning breakfast, after which you will be driven to Guijaan Ghat to explore the Dibru Saikhowa National Park. The dive will take approximately 1.5 hours, as the distance to be covered is about 75 km. Once in Guijaan, you will board the country boat for Dibru-Saikhowa National park. Dibru Saikhowa National Park stretches across the sprawling area of around 340 sq. km. between the districts of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. The two of the star residents of the sanctuary are Feral horses and endangered White Winged Wood Duck. This natural reserve is an amalgamation of wetlands, grasslands and dense forests. Thus, supports many rare wildlife species like Slow Loris, Gangetic Dolphin, Water Buffalo, Hoolock Gibbon, Elephant etc. The park is also quite rich in avian fauna, which includes over 250 species of birds, both domestic as well as migratory. After the culmination of the park tour you will reach Dibrugarh, where you will check into the hotel and spend the night.

Day 05: Dibrugarh - Pasighat

After breakfast at the hotel, the journey towards Pasighat will commence. This journey will take approximately 6 hours, in which 2 will be spend in the ferry and rest while driving. In total you will be covering a distance of around 110 km. Pasighat, is the district headquarters of East Siang district and is placed on the banks of perennial Siang River. It offers various breathtaking natural vistas as it is surrounded by snowcapped mountains, which are home to fascinating flora and fauna. On arrival, you will check into the hotel and take a brief rest. Later, a visit to Kekar Monying (Black Rock) shall be organized. This is a war memorial, which was erected by the State to honor the martyrdom Adis, the aboriginal residents of the region, who fought British on 4th December 1911, to retain there freedom. Another memorial that you will visit is of Sir Neol Williamson. Depending on the availability of time, you may also visit Dr. Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, which is inhabited by colorful wildlife species like hog deer, hispid, hare, raptors and migratory water birds. Another sightseeing option could be the Mouling National Park; it is situated in the Upper Siang district and is home to numerous endangered and indigenous wild animals, which include Takins, Serow, Goat, Clouded Leopard, Black Bear, Leopard, Red Panda etc. For the overnight stay you will return to the hotel in Pashighat.

Day 06: Pashighat - Along

After a light breakfast in the morning you will be driven to Along, a picturesque town in Arunachal Pradesh, which also serves as the headquarter of West Siang district. Surrounded by small villages and lush green plantations, Along is an ideal place to spend time away from noise and scorching heat of the plains. To reach this pristine destination you will be covering a distance of around 130 km in approximately 4 hours time. On arrival, you will check into the hotel and after a brief rest, the sightseeing tour will commence, which will include Ramkrishna Ashram, where you will find various books and other items related to Sage Ramakrishna Paramhansa. You will also visit the hanging bridge on the Siang River. This dangling bridge is around 60 to 70m long and acts as the sole connection to various tribes of the region. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Along.

Day 07: Along - Daporijo

In the morning you will be served traditional breakfast and then the 5 hour long drive to Daporijo will commence. The distance you will be covering to reach this destination, would be around 180 km. to Daporijo is a scenic place located on the right bank of Subansiri River. It is enveloped my many petite and pretty village settlements and caves located a few kilometers away from it. Once there you will check into the hotel and later the sightseeing tour of the region will begin. During the tour you will be visiting various interesting sights including the Tagin Tribal Villages, where you will get the unique opportunity to observe the life and culture of these wonderful people from close proximity. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Daporijo.

Day 08: Daporizo - Ziro

After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Ziro will commence. It is a petite and naturally plush town, encircled by groves of bamboos and pines. Located at a height of around 5000 feet above the sea level, Ziro is the main town connecting various villages of the region and is rich in local craft items. This town with its idyllic natural beauty is an enchanting place to spend vacations. The journey from Daporizo to Ziro will take around 5 hours, as you will be covering a distance of around 170 km. On arrival, check into the hotel, relax rest of the day. The overnight stay will be at Ziro.

Day 09: Ziro

The day will begin early with a visit to the hill top, from where you will be able to catch the stunning view of the entire region bathed in the first rays of the dawn. Then return to the hotel for breakfast, after which you will be taken for a visit of Tarin, which is a unique high altitude fish farm and then visit famous whispering pine grove along with the local craft center. In early afternoon you will be visiting the Talley valley, which is located at a distance of 30 km from Ziro. This valley is home to Apatanis tribe, these people practice terrace farming and maintain the natural balance, by planting five saplings, for every tree they cut down. In the local dialect the name of the place means paradise, which it is. Here you will be able to see in person cultural and social practices as well as handicraft skills of these warm and friendly people. The women of the tribe are skilled at weaving jikhe patterned, shawls and jackets, whereas men make intricate metal and bamboo items. In evening you will return to Ziro, for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Ziro - Itanagar

After a delightful breakfast, you will be driven to the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar. It is cradled in the Himalayan foothills and has pleasingly refreshing climate. It was declare the capital of the state on 20th April 1974, and is divided into two 10 km zones, the other part is known as Naharlagun. To reach Itanagar, you will be covering the distance of around 170 km, which will take around 4 hours. On arrival, check into the hotel in Itanagar, after which you will be visiting the Ita fort, from it the city derives its name. This ancient citadel was built in the 1360 to 1550 A.D by the rulers of Jitari Dynasty and stands as the central landmark of the thriving capital. Later, you will visit the azure Ganga Lake along Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, Craft Centre, Emporium, Donyi - Polo Centre for hearing impaired etc. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Itanagar.

Day 11: Itanagar - Bhalukpong

The day will begin with early morning breakfast at the hotel, then the 5 hour drive, covering a distance of around 215 km to reach Bhalukpong will commence. Bhalukpong is located, right on the Assam-Arunachal border. It is an idyllic spot for angling and leisurely picnics. On arrival you will check into the tourist lodge. You will have rest of the day free, to explore the picturesque place at your own leisure. The overnight stay will be at tourist lodge in Bhalikpung.

Day 12: Bhalukpong - Bomdila

After a scrumptious breakfast in the morning, you will depart for Bomdila. En route you will make a brief stop at Nuranang falls and then continue the 5 hour drive to Bomdila, in which you will cover a distance of around 140 km. Bomdila, is a pristine town, located at the height of 8500 ft. It also serves as the headquarters of West Kameng District. Studded with apple orchards, Buddhist gompas and a magnificent view of the Kameng Valley, Bomdila is an ideal site for relaxation as well as for trekking and hiking. On arrival at Bomdila, check into the hotel. Later you will be visiting the Bomdila Monastery. It was constructed under the guidance of Dalai Lama and serves as a residence for over 200 Buddhist monks. From the monastery one can see the breathtaking view of the entire Bomdila. You can be part of the calming prayer ceremony which is held at the monastery at dawn and then at dusk. Later on take a trip to craft center, where you can buy exquisite woolen carpets and vibrant wooden masks. You will spend the night at the hotel in Bomdila.

Day 13: Bomdila -Twang

You will be provided a traditional breakfast at the hotel, after which the 7 hour long drive to Twang will commence. To reach this destination you will be covering a distance of around 180 km, however en route, you will halt at the Nuranang falls, to enjoy its natural beauty. Once in Twang, check into the hotel, you can spend evening at your leisure and will spend the night here.

Day 14: Tawang

After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, Tawang sightseeing tour will commence. One of the major attractions here is the Tawang Monastery, which is located around the height of 10,000 feet and was built almost 400 years ago. This monastery is home to hundreds of monks. Also known as Galden Namgey Lhatse, which means celestial paradise, this monastery is a treasure trove of ancient Buddhist manuscripts and thangka paintings, which have been painted using the blood from the nose of 5th Dalai Lama. Besides these, the monastery also houses a magnificent 8m high statue of Lord Buddha. Later visit Urqelling Monastery, revered as the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. It also houses various ancient stupas. You will also be visiting the craft center in Tawang, known for its fine collection of beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, silver, coral and amber jewelry, along with traditional dresses. The itinerary of the day also includes Tawang War Memorial, made to honor the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. You will visit the sapphire Sangestser Lake, if time permits. It is placed at a distance of about 35 km from Tawang and has several intact war bunkers that were used at the time of Chinese aggression in 1962. Overnight stay will be at Tawang.

Day 15: Twang - Dirang

After the breakfast, you will begin your 6 hour journey to Dirang via car. During the drive you will be covering a distance of around 140 km. En route a stopover will be made to pay homage at the Jaswant Garh war memorial, situated 14 km from Sella Pass. Dedicated to Jaswant Singh Rawat, Mahavir Chakra Awardee posthumous, this site inspires courage and patriotism in every ones heart. It is also a spectacular vintage point to catch a bird’s eye view of the Paradise Lake. Later, arrive at Dirang and check into the hotel. In afternoon, the sightseeing tour will begin. It will include a visit to the natural hot spring, apple orchards and the Yak Breeding farms. The overnight stay will be in the hotel in Dirang.

Day 16: Dirang

The day will begin early with light breakfast; afterwards you will be exploring the Sangti Valley, placed at the distance of around 12 km from Dirang. This panoramic valley has numerous pristine spots that attract visitors, including a sheep breeding farm, Chuskar (traditional water mill), a flour mill system using hydro power, which is used by the villagers to grind the millets. Other than these sites, this valley is a birdwatcher’s paradise, as during the winters, one can spot here the rare and endangered black necked cranes. Return to Dirang for overnight stay.

Day 17: Dirang - Nameri National Park

After early morning breakfast, 7 hours journey to Nameri National Park will begin, during which you will be covering a distance of around 165 km. You will make a brief stopover en route at Tipi Orchid Sanctuary and Research Center, located near Bhalukpong. Here in the magnificent floral glass house you will see more than 300 species of orchids. Later, continue your drive towards Nameri. This wildlife sanctuary is spread in a sprawling expanse of around 200 sq km and houses a thriving as well as vivacious collection for wildlife, which includes mammals like Elephant, Tiger, leopard, Sambar, Barking deer, Hog Deer, Wild Boar, Gaur etc. along with 350 species of birds. The allure and beauty of this national park is further enhanced by the river Jia- Bhoroli and its tributaries which crisscross across the park. The park offers adventure activities like river rafting in the Jia Bhoroli River at its south western boundary.

Day 18: Nameri National Park - Guwahati

Early morning go for a nature walk and the bird watching trip into the dense jungle of Nameri National Park with the forest guards. Later return and have breakfast, after which you will be driven to Guwahat, which is located at a distance of around 245 km from Nameri and it takes about 5 hours to reach there. On arrival check into the hotel and later the afternoon city tour of Guwahati will commence. During which, you will be visiting the sacred Kamakhya Temple, which is dedicated to the Mother Goddess. Also visit the Umananda Temple, which is situated on a hillock, on an island placed in the middle of the river Brahmaputra. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next, you will visit Shankardev Kalakshetra, which is a wonderful museum that showcases Assamese history and culture. It also has an amphitheater where various cultural performances are presented on regular bases. Another highlight of the tour is Guwahati War Cemetery. It is a graveyard of Second World War and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Guwahati.

Day 19: Guwahati

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, as per you flight schedule you will be transferred to Guwahati airport to board your flight for onward destination.
