Day 01: Arrive Bhubaneshwar
On arrival at Bhubaneshwar, you will be met by our representative, who will you transfer to the hotel, where you shall check in and stay overnight.
Day 02: Bhubaneshwar Excursion
After an early morning breakfast, the excursion tour to Udaigiri, Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri will commence. These three Buddhist sites form the Dimond Triangle of Odisha. Among lush green environs and scenic landscapes in the Mahanadi basin lays the Udaigiri- Ratnagiri - Lalitgiri complex, which houses one of the most impressive remains of Buddhist monasteries belonging to the Vajrayan sect known as Pashupagiri. Here you will see various Buddhist architectural gems, such as rock-cut votive stupas, two exclusive images of Lord Buddha and even images of emperor Ashoka. All these have been unearthed in recent excavations around this site. You will return to hotel in Bhubaneshwar by late evening, where you will spend the night.
Day 03: Bhubaneshwar - Konark - Puri
The day will begin with a filling traditional Oriya breakfast, after which you shall commence for the sightseeing tour of Bhubneshwar city. During the tour you’ll visit numerous ancient and sacred shrines in the city, such as Lingaraja Temple, Rajarani Temple, Mukteswar Temple, Parasurameswar Temple, Brahmeswar Temple, etc. Later in afternoon, you will be driven to Puri. However an en route stop will be made at Konark, where you will get a chance to see the world famous Sun Temple, an architectural miasma. It is dedicated to the Sun God and has been constructed in shape of a mammoth 24 wheeled chariot. Here, you will also be visiting the Ramachandi Temple, after which you will continue your journey to Puri. On Arrival at Puri, check into the hotel and spend the evening at serine beaches of Puri. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Puri.
Day 04: Puri
After a leisurely early morning breakfast you will be visiting various holy places located in the sacred city of Puri, first and foremost among them is the ancient Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that this shrine was built in around 12th century. Today, it is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Later, you will also visit Gundicha Temple, when translated into English it means the aunt’s house, it is a small sanctum located in center of a beautiful garden and during the Jagannath Rath Yatra, main idols of the Jagannath Temple are kept here. You will also visit Loknath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, along with various other shrines.
Day 05: Puri - Kolkata
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Puri railway station to board train 12822 Dhauli Express for Kolkata (the train leaves at 1150 hours and arrives in Kolkata at 2015 hours), on arrival you will directly taken to the airport to continue your onward journey.
