The annual pilgrimage called Amarnath Yatra, to Amarnath temple is held in the lunar month of Shravana (July) each year. On your way to the Amarnath cave, trek among the world's very best picturesque locales of Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Sheshnag, and Panchtarani. Plan a visit to clean and refresh your senses.

Tour Details

Day 01: Arrival at Srinagar - Pahalgam

Once you arrive at Srinagar airport, you'll receive a warm welcome by our executive, who'll accompany you to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds, by road. After a ten-hour journey, you'll reach Pahalgam. Check-in at the hotel and call it a day after a filling dinner.

Day 02: Pahalgam - Chandanwari

Day two will begin with a delectable breakfast, after which you'll leave for Chandanwari, the base point for most trekking trails. The distance of 16 km will be covered by a trek of about 4½ hours. Situated at a height of 2896 meters, Chandanwari is a scenic valley sited at the junction of Sheshnag and Astanmarg streams. Upon reaching, you'll be accommodated in tents. Dinner and night stay will be in the tents.

Day 03: Chandanwari - Sheshnag

Early morning after breakfast, you'll proceed for Sheshnag. Located at an altitude of 3576 meters, Sheshnag is said to be one of the windiest places in this valley. You'll move towards Sheshnag Lake en-route Pisu Ghati. After a five-hour trek, you'll halt in the tents for dinner and night's rest.

Day 04: Sheshnag - Panchtarni

Your day will start early with a light morning meal, followed by a journey to Panchtarni, sited amidst the snow capped Himalayas. The 13 km journey will take about 5 hours to complete, passing through the Mahagunas Pass. The night will be spent at the tents in Panchtarni.

Day 05: Panchtarni - Amarnath - Sheshnag

On day five of the tour, you'll leave early for the Amarnath cave. After reaching the holy place, take a dip in the ice-cold water of Amarnath stream, flowing outside the cave. Enter the holy shrine engulfed by serene ambience to see the three massive Lingams symbolizing Lord Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha. After paying tribute to the deities, trek down to Sheshnag to spend the night.

Day 06: Sheshnag - Pahalgam - Srinagar

After having breakfast, descend down further to Pahalgam via Chandanwari. Upon your arrival at Pahalgam, you'll be driven to Srinagar via road. Here, you'll be taken for a scrumptious dinner before making a check-in at the houseboat to spend the night.

Day 07: Srinagar

Start your day with a delectable morning meal, after which you'll move out for a sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Popular tourists spots covered will be Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Garden, Chashma Shahi and Pari Mahal. Post lunch, you'll be taken for a ride in the famous Shikara on the Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the houseboat.

Day 08: Srinagar

Have a sumptuous breakfast in the houseboat. Thereafter, you are free to spend the day in exploring other places of Srinagar. Also, you can indulge in shopping at Lal Chowk, a hub of traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and woolen attires. Return back to the houseboat for dinner and sleepover.

Day 09: Srinagar - Jammu Departure

Post breakfast, you'll be transferred to Jammu via road to board a flight for onward travel.
